• Baptism is commanded by scripture for believers.
• Baptism is an external symbol describing the internal change of salvation.
• Baptism in scripture is by immersion.
Our Conclusion
• Baptism does not save a person.
• True believers will be baptized because it is an act of obedience.
• Since church membership presupposes an attitude of obedience, baptism is necessary.
• Believers wishing to join Wyatt must be baptized or, if already baptized, affirm the following about their baptism:
• It was believer's baptism.
• It was by immersion.
• The believer agreed with the essential beliefs of Wyatt at the time of baptism.
• The church under whose authority the baptism was performed agrees with the essential beliefs of Wyatt.
